Summary:

Homework check - the student had done an IELTS reading comprehension exercise using an article about piracy in ancient Europe. The questions were checked and necessary connections were made, the content of the article was reviewed.
Writing - we used a worksheet focused on writing skills for describing charts, which is a key component of IELTS writing. We worked through all the exercises, including vocabulary focus, reading an example essay and learning useful phrases for describing data charts.
Reading - we used a new IELTS sample reading passage on the topic of Wales and Dolphins. We read through some of the article and highlighted some of the more difficult vocabulary items.
Homework: complete IELTS reading task, do questions 15-26.
